Fast & Fabulous Blouse Back T

HotPatterns: Fast & Fabulous Blouse Back T

I'll be honest: I want  to love this pattern. It has a lot of things going for it:
-relaxed fit
-interesting back detail
-great opportunity to play with different fabrics
-broad range of sizing (6 - 26, all included in the PDF download. yeah!), making grading between sizes much simpler.

I made this version of the HotPatterns Fast & Fabulous Blouse Back T a couple of months ago. I've worn it half a dozen times and am still just not sold on the fit. From the photos alone I would say "looks like a great fit!"  Yes, but...

It pulls at the side bust, even with the super-comfy 4-way stretch fabric I used. It rides up in the front. The shoulders get pulled back, pulling the neckline back as well.

Why?

Lack of bust darts. I am a C/D (depending on manufacturer). Even with the sizing according to the pattern and the terrific stretch in the fabric I still feel that the armcye is pulled askew.  At first I thought this might be due to having used a very lightweight jersey for the back (that was still too heavy for the design), but after looking more closely at the fit I'm pretty sure it has to do with needing an FBA (full bust adjustment) and perhaps a tweak to the sleeves.

I still want to love this pattern. I will definitely give it another try. But next time I will include an adjustment that allows 'the girls' to have their most comfortable fit, too!
